Our primary goal as a school is to offer real and deep experiences to children. We teach through a hands-on program using rich and plentiful human resources and many tools, including appropriate new technology.

Our youngest children, who are concrete thinkers, learn through real-world experiences and discoveries in our theme-based studies curriculum. By ages 7-8, children begin word processing activities aided by “AlphaSmarts” keyboards. Supervised online research also begins then, with emphasis on the ability to critically discern the validity of information found. Our oldest children use more sophisticated tools such as Chromebooks with Google Drive and develop a variety of uses for iPads in science and social studies.

Our approach is to always work toward finding the best tools available for children to engage in deeply meaningful learning experiences while maintaining our commitment to a hands-on, interactive, and real-world curriculum.
